Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Points Beyond.
After a great time in Boulder, we took off for Rocky Mountain National Park and drove over the highest highway in America, Trail Ridge Road. We camped at a cool campsite and saw elks and heard the bugling of the bulls since it is the start of the rut season. Once over the 12,200 foot pass, we dropped down the western slope and into the Flattop Wilderness. We camped at several mountain lakes and got caught in an afternoon rainstorm halfway through a six mile hike. The temperature dropped into the fifties and we were happy to finally get back to our warm dry camper.
We are retired and spend several months each year traveling in our truck camper to places where we can hike, bike and kayak and the rest of the time we do other stuff like yoga, Brazilian Jiujitsu, RC airplanes and helicopters, cooking and reading.
